As the lead Product Designer, my responsibilities encompassed the entire design lifecycle from user research to visual design and user experience.
Problem Statement
In our fast-paced and digitally connected world, many Muslims struggle to maintain a consistent and meaningful connection with Allah through Dhikr, the act of remembrance or recollection of Allah. With the increasing distractions of modern life and the constant use of digital devices, finding moments of reflection and devotion can be challenging. As a result, there is a growing need for a solution that seamlessly integrates Dhikr into the daily lives of Muslims, fostering a deeper sense of purpose, mindfulness, and spiritual well-being. To address these challenges and empower Muslims in their spiritual journey, the Sulwan platform emerges as a unique and purposeful solution. Sulwan aims to help users seamlessly integrate Dhikr into their daily routines, creating a sacred space for reflection and devotion in the midst of their online interactions.
Conclusion / Takeaways
Our research has shown that there is a strong desire within the Muslim community for a platform that offers personalized guidance, community support, and seamless integration of spiritual practice into daily life.
We have started our journey with the development of an extension for Google Chrome, which has received positive feedback from our users. We are currently in the process of designing a mobile app and implementing the homepage design. We believe that these additions will provide even greater value and help us achieve our vision of becoming the go-to platform for Muslims seeking to deepen their spiritual practice.
Sulwan is still a work in progress, and we are committed to continually improving and expanding our platform in order to best serve the needs of our users. We are grateful for the support and feedback we have received thus far, and we look forward to continuing to grow and evolve with our community.
