As the lead designer at Fagopay I was in charge of giving Fagopay a new look, starting from the core business services interface, which supports businesses in creating accounts and managing transactions worth hundreds of millions. My primary role involved leading the design process and collaborating closely with other designers, engineers and stake holders to ensure the implementation of effective and scalable design solutions.

Fago-Users are at the heart of FagoPay’s mission to enhance financial inclusion and provide seamless financial services across Africa. This diverse group includes small business owners, managers, individual users, and unbanked or underbanked populations who rely on FagoPay for their daily financial transactions and business operations.
Information Architecture of FagoPay
The information architecture (IA) of the FagoPay Business web platform is meticulously designed to ensure seamless navigation, efficient task completion, and an intuitive user experience. It organizes the platform's features and functionalities in a way that aligns with the users' needs and business goals, making it easy for users to access and manage their financial activities.

Prioritization and Impact
I led a prioritization initiative using the Eisenhower Matrix to classify and address key features and tasks based on their urgency and importance. This strategic approach ensured that we focused on the most critical aspects of the platform, such as simplifying the onboarding process and enhancing security measures.

Understanding Our Users
I developed detailed user personas to deeply understand our diverse user base and their unique needs. This initiative helped us tailor the platform’s features to better serve small business owners, individual users, and the unbanked population.


Root Cause Analysis
I conducted a root cause analysis to identify the primary reasons for high drop-off rates during the onboarding process. By uncovering that the complexity and length of the onboarding steps were the main issues, we simplified the process and improved user guidance.
